I was commissioned by St. Anthony Hospital last week to photograph three of their outstanding employees. They will have the honor of being featured on the SSMPeople.com website, which tells the stories of a handful of really special people working within the SSM Health Care system. I love that they use all B&W photography for the site. It’s hard to beat the impact of B&W for storytelling via images.
If you have time to visit the site, I think you’ll enjoy the stories and images they’ve shared. The other images on the site were done by other photographers, but the images we did for these three “Saints in Action” should be up on the site before too long.
Here are a few of our favorites. First, Dr. Bajaj: plastic surgeon and amazing human being….
It was an awesome experience to get dressed up in scrubs, mask, cap, etc. and to be just feet away from major reconstructive surgery.
Then Beth C., who has been responsible for some amazing efficiency changes that have resulted in much better patient experiences.
And Vicky G., whose tender heart and compassion have literally changed lives and inspired those around her.
You can tell Vicky’s a good listener, can’t you?
Have you seen the new East entrance to St. Anthony Hospital? It’s really nice!
What a fun project to work on! I was grateful to meet them and hang out with them for a couple of days while we photographed and interviewed each one.
