Melynda & David: The Wedding

Just wanted to share a couple dozen of my favorite images from Melynda and David’s wedding at the new Devon Boathouse. It was a gorgeous evening, beginning in a very colorful and beautiful room at the Residence Inn by Marriott in Bricktown.

Her gorgeous dress and shoes came from Bridal Boutique in Norman.

Then we headed on over to the Devon boathouse where the finishing touches were being added, including these beautiful aisle bouquets that the bride actually made out of cool wallpaper squares, painted silver and hung with ribbon!

undefined

The florist was Trochta’s of Oklahoma City.

Melynda and David’s rings are from Lewis Jewelers.

The bride waiting upstairs in a little spot off of the training room. Love the light coming in through the opaque roof!

The bride’s father was in a great mood and I love this image from right before the ceremony as a few of the wedding party were standing around talking.

The first dance

The reception hall downstairs in the Devon Boathouse. Gorgeous cake by Madison’s on Main.

The catering was done by Aunt Pittypat’s

I love the way the colorful lights fill the reception area once the sun sets. The band was really good, so in the above picture, the reception hall almost looks empty. =) Everyone was on the dance floor having a great time!

undefined

The band for the evening was Avenue, one of the great Box Talent agency bands.

Love this image of the Devon boathouse after dark

I had never seen light sticks used as the couple makes their grand exit, but since there was a burn ban, sparklers weren’t an option there. I think they actually worked really well! Made for some fun colors and unique images!

undefined This is the boat they made their getaway in. I got a few photos of them in the cabin, and I think they were too busy making out to come on the deck and wave goodbye to us, so I photographed this guy instead. =) The bright light on the left, reflected in the water is actually the full moon.

Congratulations, Melynda & David! It was a pleasure working with you and we with you all the very best as you start married life together!
