Okay, by now hopefully you know how much fun we have doing what we call “incognito engagement sessions” where typically the guy hires me to photograph his proposal. It’s a lot of fun and I’ve had the opportunity to do a few already this season. A funny thing happened to us last week, though, when I ran across a couple who were about to propose/be proposed to and neither one of them knew I was there taking pictures of the event!

Turns out, the young man’s father designed the gardens at Myriad Gardens and they were over-the-top excited that I managed to grab a few pictures of the event as it happened. I didn’t have a great vantage at first since I wasn’t expecting it right away, but I still think the pictures will be great memories for them. Here are some of my favorites.

The ring comes out.

If I could do it over again, I would definitely have a pro at my proposal to capture that special moment. I have friends and customers who did and they all have been SO happy that they had the foresight to think of it. Honestly, so much else is going on, that most people won’t think of it on their own.
