The hot weather has broken and it always seems to take a while for us to get into maximum efficiency mode after a slow, hot summer. =) I have piles on my desk begging for attention, but I’m going to ignore them for just long enough to blog a few of the cutest images.

Meet “Steel” born to our good friends Jarred & Denise, who you might remember from their snowy wedding last March. Is he not the cutest thing ever?

What a cutie! It’s funny, they  live just a few doors down, but we still had to drive over, we brought so much with us!

Sophia slept really soundly, and we were able to move her around a lot, using some of our newest additions to our newborn props. Here’s one of my very favorites from the day.

While Sophia was getting a mid-meal snack, we found her big brother playing with the most impressive Lego set I’ve ever seen.

And here’s a slide-show of the rest of our favorites… I just realized that these slide-shows don’t show up in the mobile-version of the website (for iPhones, etc.), so if you’re looking on a mobile device, I’m sorry you’re missing out! Hopefully that won’t be an issue long as technology improves.

The image below may be one of my favorite of all time so far… Just loved the storm clouds moving in and the great sky we had to work with that day.


It was crazy-windy, though! Like sustained 30mph wind.


She’s actually not lying down in this next one, she’s actually leaning into the wind. Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration… I think.













I swear I had these sunglasses when I was in high school… Classic! The intense blue sky reflected in them was pretty cool, I thought.



So, that brings us up to speed for now! Hope you’ll forgive me for 2 blog posts in the same day. =)

Thanks for getting my odd sense of humor and corny jokes, Michelle! =)

We had a great time today getting some relaxed and fun family portraits including the newest addition, baby Jantz! After a lengthy and valiant attempt by the rest of the kids, we finally coaxed a few brief smiles out of him. I don’t know how he could resist… my cheeks hurt after smiling so much at his older siblings trying to amuse him.

Here are two photos that caught my eye from the session. Thought I’d do some quick editing and test Holly’s patience since it’s long after bedtime. (Sorry, Hon! I couldn’t resist the terrible pull of the computer…)



Okay, and now it really is time for bed. =)
