In a good way, of course… Senior pictures Friday evening, then a Saturday morning wedding consultation with a fun couple (hi, Melissa & Jeremy!), and an afternoon wedding 2nd-shooting for the estimable Charlie Samples at First Presby in OKC with the reception at the Oklahoma History Center. I saw the sun rise for maybe the 2nd time this year (I’m normally more likely to see it rise after working through the night) on Sunday morning while photographing the Memorial Marathon and now here we are on Monday afternoon, and I’m ready for a nap!

But there’s no time for that. Senior pictures are a-calling with graduation announcements begging to be stuffed with a small print from the session. Speaking of… here are a few favorites from Sarah’s senior portrait session…

Okay, it was a little chilly after a while being in the shade, especially for Bryce who was wearing T-shirts most of the time. It’s funny how in Spring we think a 55-degree day is so warm, but by Fall, we’ll be freezing in weather that cold! It’s been a long, cold winter, and I think we’re all ready for Spring — which just happens to officially be just two days away! Happy days are here again.

Seniors are so much fun to photograph and hang with… Each one is so unique and facing a huge, opportunity-filled world ahead of them. It’s really an honor to be able to capture who they are at this stage in life.

I love it! It’s a great time of the year to be an on-location photographer.

I’ve just enough time to post a favorite from Jack’s recent senior portrait session before I run some errands and head to my shoot for the day.

The image below may be one of my favorite of all time so far… Just loved the storm clouds moving in and the great sky we had to work with that day.


It was crazy-windy, though! Like sustained 30mph wind.


She’s actually not lying down in this next one, she’s actually leaning into the wind. Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration… I think.













I swear I had these sunglasses when I was in high school… Classic! The intense blue sky reflected in them was pretty cool, I thought.
