As a preface to these next pictures, one of Lane’s best friends and cousins (I believe — someone please let me know if I’m wrong) was not able to be at the wedding, which was a point of particular sadness for the family. At just the right moment in the reception, as the toasts were taking place, they patched him in on the big screen to share a little greeting with Lane and Reann. He was in a helicopter on a mission in the Middle East which is why he’s wearing headphones. You should have seen the reaction of the family! It was amazing, and so moving to be a part of.

We spent an extra week with my family there — my parents and sister live there — just relaxing, swimming and staying up late visiting. My brother brought his girlfriend, Kendall, from California and we got some funny pictures of diving board antics, river day-camping, a triple-date night and spent lots of time playing games and laughing together.

It was, all in all, a really enjoyable trip, though by the end we were eager to be back home in our own king-sized bed. We’re so spoiled having such a huge bed that it was hard to sleep in anything smaller. What can I say, I’m a sprawler! (Sorry, babe!)

This is the wedding we’re working on right now… It’s SO beautiful! Just had to share a sneak peek of a couple shots to help with the anticipation. =)

We’re still working on the  majority of the images from last weekend’s wedding, but everything about the wedding was gorgeous and we couldn’t help sharing a whole bunch of favorites. So, sit back with your icy-cold beverage of choice on this 97-degree day, put your feet up if you can, and take in some really fun memories from the day!

Crystal’s gown was beautiful, so Holly and I borrowed it for a moment to put it in some appropriately elegant surroundings.

Isn’t the ironwork in the window amazing? Love these old buildings with their intricate details and fine craftsmanship.

This is definitely one of my very favorites from the day (above).

Crystal’s Dad having a quiet moment with his daughter before the ceremony. I just loved the deep, meaningful relationships that were apparent all around us… Made for lots of really great photos!

Candles and rose petals adorned this wall in the room where the ceremony took place.

The men relaxed in the “21″ room, where they enjoyed drinks, billiards and a few TVs… but mostly, they talked and had a great time visiting.

This venue was unusual in that there was so much room, we could photograph the guys right up until the last moment before the ceremony without being in the way of any of the guests or the rest of the bridal party. So, we maximized our time and got most of the photos done before the ceremony, despite the fact that the girls were running a bit behind. =)

Fast forward a few minutes, and the ceremony has begun!

The ceremony was intimate and the officiant had a good sense of humor that kicked in on a couple of occasions. The room erupted with laughter at one point, though… Ryan was repeating his vows and looking at the officiant, when the officiant interrupted and said, “I’d feel better if you’d say that to Crystal!”

We slipped outside immediately after the ceremony to try to take advantage of nice light from the setting sun, and across the street was the most amazing old church.

Back at the reception hall in the Fort Worth Club again, here are the cakes!

And the rings… Crystal’s ring was so intricate and detailed, and was passed down from her grandmother. What a treasure! We photographed the rings in these next two images with the night lights of downtown Ft. Worth in the background.

Crystal’s sister, Tiffany, and her husband, dancing. I just LOVE this image! Somebody please get this printed large and put on display so it enjoys a good home. I want to order one for me! I won’t, Tiffany, don’t worry. =)

At the end of the evening, as the guests were arranging for the send-off, Ryan & Crystal had one last dance together…

Congratulations, Ryan & Crystal! We were honored to be there as your photographers, and it was really a pleasure to serve you both. I’ve never heard better toasts at a wedding… and four of them no less! It was so apparent how much your families love you both that our own hearts were warmed just by being there.

So, there you have it! Forty-plus favorites blogged at the end of a long work-day. I think it’s time to jump in the pool! Before I let you go, though… The last few posts we’ve gone with slide-shows (which you’ll only see if you’re on our blog – feeds actually pull the individual images) and for this post — as you can tell already since you made it all the way to the end — we went with embedded images. I still haven’t heard a real good consensus as to which is preferable, so if you have any feedback for us, we’d love to hear from you!

Thanks for tolerating this bit of self-indulgence in sharing it with you. It’s unusual that we received two of these right in a row… We promise not to turn this into a shrine or anything of the sort. =)

When we started searching for photographers for our wedding, we thought it would be a long process. Every photographer we looked at all had the same boring poses and shots. We had the difficult task of deciding which ‘professional’ photographer we wanted to take boring pictures of our day. Then we stumbled upon Print’s Charming Photography. As soon as we saw the name we were intrigued, we laughed to ourselves at the cleverness of the name.

We looked throughout your website at the different wedding and engagements you had done. We were impressed with every single album on the website. We just knew we had to meet this amazing artist. When we met you for dinner, you were absolutely pleasant. You were just as excited about our wedding as we were. You made it seem like we were your main priority and our wedding was the most important wedding that you had to book. After that meeting we were completely sold. Throughout the entire process, you were never too busy to answer any of our dumb questions or make any adjustments for us.

When we shot our engagement pictures, you didn’t seem rushed; you even suggested we take some extra pictures at the place where I proposed without us saying anything about it. It was that kind of thought and care that reassured us that we had made the right decision with Prints Charming. After we got the proofs back from the engagement session, I looked at Courtney and said, “He is officially our family photographer.” Your wife, Holly, was just as wonderful. She hung out with the ladies and blended well with the group. She got some wonderful pictures of the ladies being themselves.

The way you two covered our wedding was unbelievable. All the things we may have missed or forgotten, you were there to remind us of our special day. Thank you guys for everything you did. You may not understand how much we truly appreciate all your hard work and kindness. You really are true professionals at your craft.

I cannot begin to tell you how incredible and beautiful the pictures are from Lee and Bethany’s wedding…  I started to realize just how many things I had missed seeing (like cutting the cake) and worrying if everything was as pretty and as special as we wanted it to be for Bethany…  I didn’t know how much the pictures would bring the day back to life for us.  The photography really is the one lasting and tangible record of that magical day.  Thank you so very much for recording the details in an artful and creative way.  It was nothing short of joyful to see all the special moments again.  I don’t know how I will ever narrow down choices for an album.

John and I are talking about finding a time we could come to OKC and have you do pictures for us.  It would be so much fun to have our own photo session with you.

Ivy and Jonathan had everything looking just perfect on Ivy’s father’s estate, but the weather decided not to cooperate. They were troopers, though, and had fun despite the drizzle at their outdoor wedding. I think all of the umbrellas made for some fun images and memories, too. Here’s a little walk through their day…
